"Test Goals"

"Testability Awakens"

A high degree of testability helps not only the testers but everyone involved in software development. The simplest way I like to describe testability is “How easy it is to test something”. Thus, anything that makes testing harder or slows it down decreases testability. This gives bugs the opportunity to hide for longer. Having the ability to identify testability issues and understand how you can address them is therefore crucial whether you are a tester or not. In addition it can make your life as a tester a lot easier.
In this talk I will share my experiences of how a new perspective and model of testability have helped me to help others. Through visualizing the dimensions which affects testability I have deepened my understanding of what might make testing harder or easier.

Take away from my session:
¤ Why I think testability is important
¤ How you can recognize testability issues
¤ How to visualize what can affect testability
