Hello hello Mountain Goats!

Ready for another chance to forget about deadlines/ real life stuff?

It's week 6 and we're going rogue (as in somewhere other than Glencoe/ Cairngorms). Next weekend (14th-16th February) we're heading to Crianlarich and the Arrochar Alps! The area is home to a multitude of stunning scenes and edgy features like The Cobbler, Ben Vorlich and Ben More. This is a newish area for the club (exciting!) so get onto walkhighlands.com (under the Loch Lomond tab) and have a look at any routes you fancy giving a go.

We'll be leaving on Friday 14th at 5pm sharpish. The trip will cost £65, please bring cash with you to YUSU.

We're staying in the Crianlarich village hall, so you will need a sleeping bag and roll mat. If you have your own please bring it along but the club has some to lend out as well, just indicate this on the sign up. In terms of other kit, check out the Ben Lairig Fun Book for more info but it's essentially the same as any other trip.

There are kitchen facilities so if you want to cook Saturday evening theres space to do that but we'll probably be checking out a local watering hole at some point as well. Make sure to bring enough food for breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday. It will be early starts so no fry ups! There will also be a chance to stop for dinner on Friday evening.

This trip will involve less technical climbing and more scrambling/ long walking days so a different kind of challenge! Don't worry though, Munros will still be summited. Unfortunately you must have completed Basic Winter Skills or an equivalent to be able to come.

Please only sign up if you can make it, if you have to pull out later unfortunately you will still have to pay the trip cost.

Any questions just drop us a line, I'll be sending a confirmation email at some point next week.
